Real software goes on your machine. Here is every piece, in plain English. These are open-source tools millions of people already run. None of it is mine.

Kept in its own folder, so it never touches, changes or breaks anything already installed on your computer.

Turns the speech into text, on your machine. An efficient build of Whisper, the speech recognition system OpenAI released publicly.

The actual brain doing the listening. Downloads once, the first time you check a video, then lives on your machine forever.

Downloaded once and reused forever — every check after the first downloads nothing at all.

NOTHING HERE ASKS FOR YOUR PASSWORD

No admin rights. No Homebrew. No developer tools. No changes to any software you already have. Everything lands in one folder inside your own home directory.

03. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

Straight answers, because you're putting something on your own machine.

NO UPLOADS

The video downloads to your computer, gets listened to there, and is deleted the second the transcript exists.

NO ACCOUNT

No sign-up, no API key, no card. There is nothing to bill — which is exactly why it's free.

NO PASSWORDS

For Instagram and TikTok it borrows the login already in your browser. That never leaves your machine.

NO BACKGROUND

It does nothing until you ask it to check a video, then goes back to sitting there.

NO PHONING HOME

I never see your links, your reports, or that you ran it. There is no server on my end at all.

05. HOW TO REMOVE IT

Want it gone? This is everything. Nothing hides on your machine.

rm -rf ~/.claude/skills/larp

rm -rf ~/.cache/uv ~/.local/share/uv ~/.cache/huggingface ~/.local/bin/uv ~/.local/bin/uvx

That second line removes every byte this ever downloaded. Skip it if you use uv for your own projects — the first line alone removes LARP Meter.
